Nitrogen cycle in wastewater

nitrification, dentirifcation, and anammox

We study microbial nitrogen cycling to enhance wastewater nitrogen treatment. This includes reducing energy inputs to nitrogen removal, or reducing chemical addition. Current and prior work related to sulfide-based denitrification, denitrifying methane oxidation, and anammox processes.
